Xtreme 125R Highlights

On Target

The Xtreme 125R is Hero's answer to the TVS Raider, Bajaj Pulsar N125, and more recently the Honda CB 125 Hornet.

What We Like

It comes with excellent handling and ride quality, while the engine offers good mid-range punch and feels refined.

What We Do Not Like

Certain elements feel lacking in terms of quality, the pillion seat feels cramped, and it lacks turn-by-turn navigation.

Features
The Hero Xtreme 125R proves that a commuter motorcycle doesn’t have to feel boring. It brings together sharp styling, a refined yet responsive engine, confident handling, and one of the best ride-and-handling setups in the segment. Hero has also equipped it with enough modern features to keep younger buyers interested without compromising everyday usability. While the pillion seat isn’t the most accommodating and the instrument cluster could offer more functionality, these are minor compromises.

Pros & Cons of Xtreme 125R

What we admire in this bike

Stylish look with sharp design

Refined 125cc engine with good mid-range performance

The fit and finish of the motorcycle is top-notch

Comes with single-channel ABS

The handling of the motorcycle is quite good

The NVH level is well-maintained

It offers a well claimed fuel-efficiency of 66 kmpl

What could have been better

The styling is a bit too sharp for some consumers

The rear seat is high which might create difficulty for ladies and old people

Braking could have been better

The suspension on the softer side

Single-channel ABS is not standard

Should I buy the Xtreme 125R?

The Hero Xtreme 125R stands out as one of the most stylish motorcycles in its category, making it a noteworthy option for those seeking style. It delivers good performance, stability, and cornering capabilities, coupled with a variety of features. Notably, this motorcycle introduces a segment-first feature with single-channel ABS, enhancing its safety features. However, it's important to note that the design is somewhat radical, which may not be as appealing to an older age group. Those preferring a more subdued design may find the TVS Raider to be a more toned-down alternative.

Yes, a 5.3 ft rider should generally be able to ride the Hero Xtreme 125R, because its seat height is about 790 mm on India site of Hero. That said, comfort depends on your inseam and confidence at stops more than overall height alone. At 5.3 ft, many riders should at least get one foot down securel
