On Target

Made for city-first sedan buyers who want segment-leading features, comfort and safety without paying a premium price.

What We Like

Feature-rich cabin, ventilated seats, six airbags as standard, practical boot space, and a comfortable, well-equipped interior.

What We Don't Like

Modest CNG power output, styling borrowed heavily from Tigor, less boot space in CNG.

Features
What stands out about the Aeris is how much Tata has packed in at this price point. With a wide range of trims and prices, it suits almost every type of buyer. The petrol and CNG engines, both available with an AMT, are a real USP, with five variants on offer. The CNG variant does give up some refinement, but it remains perfectly usable every day. The cabin feels genuinely premium, thanks to quality materials, ventilated seats and a crisp touchscreen. Ride quality is not an issue either, helped by 170mm of ground clearance. The safety kit is class-leading, with six airbags, ESP and a blind view monitor.

Pros & Cons of Aeris

What we admire in this car

Six airbags standard across all variants for strong occupant protection.

Ventilated front seats a first-in-segment feature

Spacious 419-litre boot space handles luggage with genuine everyday practicality

Feature-loaded cabin includes wireless charging, dashcam DVR and 360-degree camera

170mm ground clearance handles Indian roads and speed breakers confidently

What could have been better

CNG + AMT combination not suitable for steep mountain roads

Service quality at Tata needs urgent attention

Cruise control feature is unavailable on the CNG AMT variant

Should I buy the Aeris?

If you're after a budget-friendly sedan that doesn't back on safety, the Aeris deserves a spot on your list. It's well suited for first-time buyers, small families, and daily commuters who care more about safety and everyday comfort than outright performance. Moreover, the CNG version is worth a look too if you want to keep running costs down.

Safety and Mileage Champion

The car looks great, and Tata has a strong reputation for safety. If a few more features were added to the base model, it would be an even better option and more competitive in the market. Overall, a good-looking car with a focus on safety!
